The Company’s thrust on the speedy implementation of ARMY projects has resulted in repeat orders from the Ministry of Defence for Indian Army projects. ASCON is the country’s prestigious Army backbone communication telecom network implemented in phases along the Borders. The network consists of a large number of Voice and Data switches interconnected with various media types like microwave radio, OFC, satellite. The network is being maintained under an AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract). The project includes civil works and telecom equipment maintenance.
NSU implemented a VSAT-based broadband access network for BSNL. This project involved the setup of a HUB at Bangalore and commissioning of VSATs at 200 locations initially, now nearing 3500. This project provides data and video connectivity for critical business applications such as connecting remote branches/ATMs, voice connectivity through VoIP, Internet services up to 2 Mbps, and VPN services for enterprises.
